Biology no it doesnt use math really. Chemistry it definitely helps to be good at math, but you can still get by if you study and pay attention. I was horrible at Math but did ok in Chemistry with hard work.

Nope. I'm not that great in math and I do pretty well in Chemistry and Biology. Some algebra will help when learning chemistry such as solving equations but not for bio. No math needed really. If you're taking physics, algebra will DEFINITELY help.

You must have a good foundation in algebra to succeed in general chemistry. Not in biology. Beyond general chemistry, organic chemistry is a very feminine science. Algebra does not enter in.

I don't think that it is such an issue for biology, at least not at the undergraduate level; however, you do need to be proficient in algebra in order to succeed in chemistry. Some upper level chemistry courses may also require knowledge of calculus.

Biology you will hardly ever use math. In lower level Chemistry you use basic math that can be learned very easily. Upper level Chemistry uses a lot of math so you need to be comfortable with basic algebra to be successful in the class.

i began out HS final twelve months, and you have been put in residing environment (Biology) immediately. once you bypass that course, you are able to %. the two Earth technology or Chemistry. I took Chemistry, and that's exceptionally problematic. in basic terms a pair days in the past, I have been given counsel for next years programming. I even detect a thank you to take Physics, activities drugs, or scientific technologies. truthfully, to your freshman twelve months, i might recommend biology, considering the fact this is a lot greater handy, and you gets your grade up with it. some staple products in Physics will seem in Chemistry.

some basic knowledge of algebra would be of great assistance in figuring out the formulas. You would find this true, more so, in Chemistry, than Biology.

Not so much in Biology, but it is very helpful in Chemistry. If you want to take Physics, calculus for sure.

No... I am horrible at math but I passed Biology with an A... Just because you are bad at math does not mean you will be bad in other subjects. If you apply yourself to the classes then y ou will be successful!

Yes, no doubt about it. Otherwise how would you balance reactions?, calculate concentration, molarity?, how would you make mass and energy balance.. ? etc.
