CEOs don't get to be religious?

The only problem I see is if there is the slightest hint that by declining the invitation you've done your career harm -- and that's bad religion, bad management, and just plain bad manners.

Is there a law? I doubt it. Could the company have a policy against using company resources for personal gain? Most likely. But given that he is the CEO, he probably is the person in charge of setting company policy.

No it not illegal. Only the board of directors or the stockhholders or the owner's of the business can determine wheter it is proper.

I don't see why there should be anything illegal about it, or why anyone would need to be offended. Gee, all they have to do is what all of us do with our junk mail. When we get it, we junk it, and get on with our day LOL>

there is a difference between being invited and ordered to, invited means if you wish to come, ordered means you have to. there should be no reason to be offended it appears to be a gesture of friendship
