Aurora is so large to definitively say it's 'this or that' would be almost impossible -- It has it's good parts and it's not-so-desirable sections.
I guess it depends on where you live now and what type of area you are accustomed to living.
The housing market is a buyers market (as mentioned previously) -- but I know from personal experience that houses in Aurora do not have a high re-sale value.
Here are some websites that give you a 'feel' for our state:

Good luck -- you will love Colorado!

Most people will say Aurora is crap because well they are white and scared. Now I am white too but Aurora is a nice cheap place to live. When I say cheap I don't mean crappy but prices for homes are way less then say Littleton where I live. There has been a huge overhaul of allot of neighborhoods in Aurora, so it's worth a look. Of coarse if you are looking to start something with your neighbors or people you will most likely mix it up, but Aurora is not that bad of a place, and is close enough to Denver to drive 15 minutes and be downtown. Hope this helps.

Well it depends which part of Aurora you mean? Southeast Aurora has newer homes and communities, with continuing new construction. But like any city, Aurora has it's problem areas (The East Colfax corridor for example). As with any relocation, do your research so you find the right home in the area that's right for you and your family. We are in a buyers market now so you'll have lots of options.

I wouldn't live there, but there are some good sections. It's very sprawling. and congested I live in Castle Rock,30 mile south of Denver, Great small town with friendly people, great schools and churches. Light rail to Denver about 15 min. from here.
