The Brendan Byrne/Meadowlands/Continental Airlines/new name this year Arena in New Jersey, with its two levels of seats but only one level of concourse, has been abandoned by the Devils in favor of the new Prudential Center in downtown Newark. With that in mind -- and it was never the worst, but that design was hopelessly flawed -- which team now has the worst home building? Don't just answer based on which teams you don't like. I hate the Rangers but like Madison Square Garden, and I hate the Flyers but think the Whatever Bank It Is This Year Center -- still Wachovia? -- is a great arena, although I liked the Spectrum, too.

It's a toss up between the Civic Centre in Pittsburgh and the Nassau County Coliseum. Both are old, retched, and too small for today's NHL

I'm an Islander fan but I have to say that Nassau Coliseum is one of the worst, if not the worst. I'll still go to see my Islanders but I really wish that they were in a better place. I've heard NHL players say that the building is a negative for free agents.
There are plans to re-do the whole area, including a new arena but this is Long Island. Major real estate plans like that have fizzled before. I'll believe it when I see it.

Madison Square Garden is definatly my favorite (not just because i'm a rangers fan)....without being against the team and such, Nassau Colliseum is way too small and maybe the worst......but i haven't really seen many arena

St Pete Times Forum in Tampa. The air conditioning system can't keep up with the humidity therefore the ice is "wet" for most of the game. If memory serves, they also have one main concourse which makes pedestrian traffic a nightmare. The hockey knowledge of the staff also seems to be wanting.

The worst to watch on a game on TV has got to be the Dallas Stars. The camera is so far away and flat on the action.

The igloo and the Nassau coliseum

Your right the Devils had a pretty tepid barn.

The Joe has great ice and i love the arena, even if it's old-fashioned-like.

I really don't like where the Hawks play, at least the way it looks on tv.

The Joe is pretty out dated from what I hear. But it's got a lot of seats and some pretty good ice.
