there is no sound coming from my computer i have a HP vs17,what do i do?

I had a similar problem a while back. I got HP Live Online at their website and the tech concluded it was a problem in the system's BiOS, so then he sent me a link. After that, I rebooted my systems and everything has been fine since.

You just probably lost the HPs software for your sound card. You can go online to the HP website and reinstall it.
