Cajun music!!! Festivals Acadiens is in Lafayette October 12 thru October 14 for the most fun you can have for free anywhere. Or go to Fred's Bar on a Saturday morning for a live radio broadcast with Cajun music. Seems like everyone in Lafayette plays an instrument, sings or dances. Laissez les bontemps rouler!!

Eat and try all the local dishes! Take a boat ride through the wetlands or swamp whatever you prefer to call it, talk to the people enjoy their charm and wit.
I had a blast when I went!
