Besides drinking more water you need to improve your diet.

More fruit and vegies (which you are already doing) and more bread, cereals and muesli and pasta, potatoes and nuts.

Red meat is the worst and can give you colon cancer and eggs are no good either. Fish is better than chicken.

Benefiber does help some....but it is not the complete answer to the problem.....meaing you have to do other things in addition to taking the benefiber. water, fruits, take one 30 min. walk every day, etc.

The best solution in the world is take Next to Nature tablets. You can order a totally Free sample at www.nexttonature.com Instead of taking a whole tablet, I always have to split the tablets in half with a pill splitter, because a whole tablet is way too strong.
I have found the best way to help occasional problems is to take 1/2 next to nature tablet every 8 to 10 hours until the problem starts to get a lot better.

Yes it does help. You also need to continue drinking plenty of water and eating fruits and veggies. My son has IBS with constipation and I use the benefiber store brand equivalent and it does work. It's also tasteless and colorless I mix it in our juice or milk, it's a bit expensive but so far I have found that it's worth it.

Hello,

Constipation is caused by several things. For example:

* Not consuming enough water daily. At least FIVE drinking glasses daily:

* Not eating a least ONE whole fruit daily for ruffrage:

* Not eating enough vegetables or other green leaf vegetables daily for assistance in cleaning the colon.

However, any STOOL SOFTENER, taken whenever constipation strikes can rid you of the problem temporarily.

Stool Softeners can be had at any pharmacy on the shelf, at a reasonable price.

Just follow the DOSAGE directions carefully!
