Secondly, permafrost is not an air pollutant. It's ground. It's frozen ground in the arctic.
Methane can be considered a pollutant in high enough concentrations... think cow farts, one of the top producers for methane gas.
Carbon monoxide is a pollutant (car exhaust, etc.).
CO2 is NOT a pollutant. It's a constituent of the atmosphere and necessary for our continued survival.
Dust particles, including ash from volcanos and carbon from forest fires, are pollutants. Anything that is not a naturally occurring part of the atmosphere is a pollutant.
Our atmosphere is nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, argon and other minor trace gases and elements.
So, perfume can be a pollutant, air freshner, smoke, gas and expulsions from volcanic eruptions, car exhaust...
