Newborn Babies are about bringing families together and happy times

I think they are happy times, I am not having one to be happy or to depend on to be happy. I was just wondering what yo guys thought because MIL is trying to exclude certain family members ie my parents. I just wondering what everyone else thought and why we cant all get along, I love my parents to death.

TRUE having a baby brings family together and you share many happy moments together. But, having a baby can be a very stressful time, especially for first time parents. Everything changes overnight and you're getting NO sleep. I could understand why having a baby could make an argument or 2 in the home.

NEITHER.. TRUE or FALSE!

Babies are babies...it depends on the family weather or not it will be a happy experience! Being dependant on something so small that is also sooo dependant, is not a good combo...

How can you ask something from someone who already has many many needs of their own...

It would be nice if babies were a magic tool that somehow made things right and happy...but unless thing were right & happy from the beggining, it doesn't always work like that! It can but not very often!

False! Newborn babies are for connecting with mom and dad, sleepless nights, pooping, lots of stress and more sleepless nights.

3 month old babies are for bringing families together, get togethers, showing off and happy times. By this time, the parents have connected with the baby, routines are starting to be established and mom and dad are starting to be a little less sleep deprived. From here on out, things get more fun everyday!

False. Newborn babies CAN be about bringing families together and happy times IF that family dynamic exsisted prior to the baby. If, however, you are hoping to turn a hateful vengful mother-n-law into a smiling happy doting grandma for instance FORGET IT! It won't be long til you catch her saying and doing abuseful things to the baby to get at you or trying to convince your husband that the baby isn't his because she decided it while watching one of those Lifetime tv mini-crap-operas after reading your email history and ramsacking your closet while your in the hospital giving birth because "god told her to". So the answer has to be false.

Your mother in law is trying to exclude your parents?! That is so VERY wrong of her. You need to sit down with her and tell her politely as possible that she needs to butt out. They are your parents and the grandparents of that baby just as much as she is. Your parents need to stand up to her, too. Most importantly, your husband needs to say something to his mother about her being overbearing. How rude!! OK... to answer your question... both true and false, depending on the individual families and their individual situations. Do whatever you can to turn it around now and you'll all be better off in the long run. Congratulations, good luck and God bless!! :o)

Usually True
My husband's family is a little odd - but we take everything they say and do with a grain of salt. Or a shakerfull...
Sorry your MIL is acting that way - sit down with her and explain how things are going to be. She's not in control - you and your husband are ; ) because you're the parents.
