I always do, elderly, pregnant ladies, but i saw something really horrible the other day, a woman got on the bus and two people, a young guy and his mum were sitting there and this woman, who was not old or disabled in anyway asked them to move so she could sit down, and the poor people did. They were tourists i think and perhaps didn't know what she was saying. I know what i would have said!!

I will always give up my seat for the elderly, those who are pregnant or have small children, or the physically disabled. Every time. I was also strongly taught while growing up to give up my seat for a lady, and I do that every time, too.

I avoid public transport - something about the smell makes me hurl - they can have my seat permanently

I gave mine up to an old lady once ...
she was tottering around on a cane and none of the guys on the bus would be a gentleman, so I had to do it for them!

Yes! Always wary of doing it for women who appear pregnant but may not be though!

i don't like squeezing next to people, so i'm usually standing anyway. this is why i drive. so as not to have to deal with these types of socio-economic dilemmas on a daily basis!
