painted it pink and purple and put a picture on it's butt, do you think I could fool my 2 year old into thinking I got her a real My Little Pony?

As a victim of childhood subterfuge I can only offer you these words of advice. Painting a trash can blue, white and silver and putting a tape recorder inside does not make an effective R2D2. Furthermore, finding out that your "ewoks" are in fact the collection of monkeys stolen from the local zoo is a confusing experience. The only realistic imitation I have ever seen was when Chewbacca visited my birthday - and even that illusion was shattered when mum shaved her shoulders and started taking her pituitary gland hormones again.

You can convince a 2 year old of most anything. Just tell her its a My Little Goat and no one else in the world has one.

LOL
maybe ... well, as long as she doesn't know what a horse is like.
because I've had goats (bad idea, btw) and they are .. umm... different. from any other creature on the planet. and that's not necessarily in a good way ....
good luck keeping it fenced in, if you DO end up doing that!
haha
