Is there a kind of nickname that Lebanese call each other?
For example...here in Indiana...we call each other "Hoosiers" (pronounced hoo'-zhers)...you have anything like that in Lebanon??

zalama. It's like dude and we don't have this word in Egypt.
In Egypt we say : ya man, ya brince. It is usually associated with the salute: beace ya man.

I see what you mean...like Ismaily said some people call others "zalameh" (dude)....but we have nicknames for people coming from certain villages, like people coming from Ajaltoun are nicknamed "dogs" and Feytroun "coyotes"...that's the two I know of
