Can a 1985 Chevy P30 Step Van tow a 5000 pound vehicle?

Hi, I was wondering if this step van could tow a 5000 pound vehicle about 1000 miles with the proper set up? The step van has a V8 engine. Thank you

It should do just fine, just make sure it has a transmission cooler installed to help keep the transmission temp down.
