I would say yes b/c if it did happen to put you in labor you don't want to go that early. I would wait until you are closer to 38 weeks. Another thing is good luck w/it working when you do use it. I have only heard of it working once or twice but when you take it, it can cause you to throw up, have diahrrea and get dehydrated...when you get dehydrated it can cause contractions and maybe put you in labor and you do not want to be dehydrated going into labor. Best bet is to wait it out and the baby will come when he/she is ready and to be safer then I would walk around, have sex or do other forms to try to go into labor.

The intended purpose of Castor oil is for use as a laxative. It is not recommended for pregnant women to take. It is only an Old Wives' Tale that Castor oil will bring on labor. There has been some success at using Castor oil for women who are in the early stages of labor, but are not progressing well, But, this is done under direct supervision of the doctor or midwife. If you take Castor oil now, you will likely experience diarrhea, cramping, nausea, and possibly dehydration. One theory is that stomach cramping may encourage uterine cramping. Another theory is that a woman who takes Castor oil and goes into labor would have gone into labor anyway without the Castor oil.

the only element castor oil does is provide you diarrhea. You made a mistake. in case you pass into exertions earlier the castor wears off, you would be pooping everywhere in the delivery table. wish you discovered from this. LOL! Your intestinal song does not make your uterus settlement, so castor oil is a large Mistake. Nature will take its course, and you will pass into exertions at approximately 38 - 40 weeks

I just got a pamphlet from my doctor talking about how castor oil is almost like poison...I would not use it!
Try a foot massage - I hear that can induce labor.

Yes, why would you want to? That stuff is horrible and the effects of using it are toxic to you and the babe. Stay away from it and let nature take it's course!
