Warner Brothers had a cartoon that I saw many, many years ago that was so cute. It featured a bull dog living with a couple that they only showed from the middle of the waist down, (I guess to get the feel of the dogs world view). The dog was supposed to be there for the protection of the house and by all appearances he looked quite vicious, that is until this tiny, cute little kitten came along. The dog barked viciously and loudly at the kitten that had really huge eyes and just looked back at the dog, and when the dog stopped barking the kitten walked around him, climbed atop the dogs back, began to knead and snuggled in to fall asleep. Well the bull dog fell in love with this kitten, but was afraid that his owners wouldn't let him keep it, so he disguised the kitten as a toy, a powder puff and what ever else he could think of whenever the owners were near. It was really hilarious the changes the dog went through protecting the kitten and hiding it. At one point he thought that the kitten was accidentally baked into cookies and he boo-hooed until he found the kitty safe and sound. When the owners realized he'd been hiding the kitty, he boo-hooed again thinking that they were going to get rid of it, but they allowed him to keep it. The best part was watching the kitty knead into the dogs back as the dog scrunched his shoulders and grimaced in pain. I'd love to see that cartoon again. It was the best. Ever seen that one?

It's a tough choice, but Robin Hood Daffy, starring Daffy Duck as Robin Hood and Porky Pig as Friar Tuck, written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones.
Close to seven minutes of glorious hysterical absurdity. And only Chuck Jones would pause in the middle of it all to have Porky wistfully singing the old, old folksong, "Barbara Allen"..
"Yoicks and Awayyyy!"
