It would be best to have another qualified person fill out the reports, even if you administer self-aid. This way, you cannot be accused of falsifying the report to inflate your claim.

A paramedic is an unquestionable neutral third-party.

There is nothing unlawful in completing the entry in the accident book yourself. But if you later wish to make a claim for personal injuriies, your case will be strengthened by having the evidence of an independent witness or witnesses. If you do not have a witness, and the firm deny liability, your case is not going to be as strong as if there is a witness. If you do wish to make a claim - remember there are strict time limits, your claim must be brought within three years of the accident.

the rules say that it must be put in the accident book along with any witnesses names it can be you or a colleague and put in later if it was not possible at the time.it is only a record of the time and date of how the injury was sustained, the management should check the book daily to see if any accidents have occured

You should really have had somebody else to fill out the book or at least have somebody witness that what you have written in is accurate and correct - which should be done at the time of filling in the book not at a later date.
