oil in the air will settle on furniture, ceiling fan, and the floor. If i turn on my ceiling fan it just disperses the oil everywhere and makes the problem worse. is there some sort of minifan with a built in filter? i also thought about putting up a large screen above our heads but that just looks ugly.

turn on your exhaust fan. if you don't have one, install a strong one or just bbq on the porch,patio or terrace.
