It's not just Republicans honey.
Don't be fooled by dribble spouted by a rich Democrat looking for your vote.
The most powerful force in Washington are the lobbyist representing big business and they play to both sides at all times.
The rich always look out for the rich and just the rich.

They need to so American business can stay competitive. Companies in China don't worry about worker's rights. India doesn't either. The more we worry about those things the more those country's industries will out pace us. Giving workers rights is great and all, but if it puts American business in jeapordy, the companies will shut down or move overseas, causing all the workers to lose their jobs. It's a lose-lose situation for the worker. We're best off keeping companies happy so they CAN employ people instead of enforcing the terms of employment (within reason of course).

We do? I didn't get the memo!
Actually, we conservatives do not believe government should be playing favorites between employer and employee.
But we know something that seems to elude many - that it is the employer who owns the job, not the employee. This ownership means that the employee does not have a right to the job.
Can you imagine Sam Adams' reaction if the government tried to tell him how long his employees could work, what wages he had to pay them, and that he couldn't smoke in his own business?

It's a selfish thing. They're money hungry and feel that nobody should stop their profits, even if the working class has to suffer. It's very wrong and un-Christian really. Which is ironic, since W claims to be a born-again. But we all know that's something you do when you're brain can't take the cocaine any more.

Workers don't employ anyone. Big companies do and that helps the economy.
