What is your opinion on the doctor who is asking for additional time for her medical board exam so she can pump her breasts for her child? Other women...a lot of other women were able to take the exam and pump during the breaks.

How is she ever going to be a physician?

Oh, she wants to go into research?!?! You don't need to pass the board exams to do that!

I have read that she's had accommodation after accommodation. How is she going to survive in the real world? She maybe should have waited until after she passed her boards to get pregnant again; supposedly, she is a doctor.

I have zero sympathy for this woman.

I was breast feeding my son when I did my boards. I fed him in the morning and pumped before hand so that he had bottles throughout the day. I doubled up on nursing pads and brought a clean shirt and bra along with me and a pump and I passed and my son was fine. I have never believed in special privileges because I am a woman.

Well unless she has the worlds slowest breast pump or the world most gargantuan breasts, I could only presume that the standard 45 minute break should cover it.

I think if you have ever had your breasts engorged from missing a feeding you might understand....Smiler to sitting on your balls....according to my wife. Who actually cried once when our daughter was in the NICU and she missed 2 feedings and was unable to pump right way.
