Many times. I got a friend of mine a real sweet job with the UN in New York, got another friend a really nice bartending gig pouring cocktails for city officials and high profile people, and I got my sweetie into her Masters Degree program.

More than once and if their not a good worker I will tell them that!!! My best friends daughter tried that one on me not to long ago and she has NEVER worked at anything not even cleaning her room so I told the guy that called that. Don't know if it helped or not all I can tell you is her daughter never got the job! They ask, I told!!

in high school my friend was trying to get a job in a shoe store and put me as a reference on her app, then a few days later she forgot to pick me up for school and I had to walk 2 miles. needless to say when they called me to ask if she was responsible and on time, I said hail no!

If someone asks me ahead of time and I agree, I give a positive reference. If they don't, or I don't, they're on their own.

Yes, but I was always asked before hand. Usually, if I didnt like someone, they didnt like me either, and would never use me for a reference.
