If u want to spend a little money on head work this is how u should do it. u should bring the heads over to a machines shop that builds performance engines, and ask them if they could c c your heads. this would be the correct way checking the size of your combustion chamber.
Or take the casting numbers off the head and go to your nearest ford dealership and ask them it they could give your the specs out of the ford motor sports performance catalog.
I have seen guys put 351 winsnor heads on a 302 with flat top pistons and a solid flat tapped cam. Some machine work may be required when making these changes when ever your dealing with performance engines proper machine work may be required for these types of modifications. After it is all said and done you should have yourself a little healthy 302. Then you may be able to qualify to go on Pinks All Out. lol
