I think that everyone should have DNA submitted to the National Data base...because:

when crimes are committed...more murders, rapes, violent crimes would be solved and the perp. could be doing justice instead of running at large.

The more DNA we have in the national data base...the better chances we have of less unsolved crimes.

I already have my DNA in a data base, one the military keeps. It is part of your contract these days and if you refuse, they will not allow you to contine your service. I believe in a national database, not only for criminal purposes, but for tracking of diseases and genetic mutations. So, yes, I would agree.

No and I have nothing to hide, i am not convinced that the DNA printing is as conclusive as we are told. We only know what we are told by scientists. There should be no short cut for forensics and criminologists. COLLECT THE EVIDENCE dont manufacture it from a data base

Well, right now in prison systems they are required by law to acquire DNA from prisoners who have violent offenses because they are more likely to be repeat offenders but it would be nice for all of America to submit DNA samples because it would be very easy for forensics to identify a murderers.

No. I would never commit a crime where my DNA would be useful for law enforcement to have. It would be useless to anybody, it would be a waste of time and tax dollars to obtain and store, and it could only get me in trouble for something I didn't do.

Yes, I'd be more than happy to.
Imagine if everybody agreed to submit their DNA. There would hardly ever be an unsolved murder or rape ever again. And thus a much greater deterrent.

No!
everybody has something to hide, big or small.

imagine a fine coming through the post for every cigarette end you dropped, or every time you spat on the floor or that time you walked home drunk and had to pee in the back alley?

and imagine if EVERY criminal was caught.... arent our prisons already full?

I voluntarily submitted my fingerprints. So I guess I would do DNA if it was possible. If they ever find my headless, limbless body, they will still be able to identify me.
