MOST white women have naturally straight hair, black women have naturally wavy to tightly curled hair.

You've got issues dude. Really.

Personally, I think ALL OF AMERICA (quit with the White America BS, it makes you sound like a pansy) should embrace REAL women of all races....with real hair, real bodies, real skin, etc. I feel that many agree with me on this....thus there would be many people in AMERICA that would accept a black women with non-artificial features.

And I would like to know the source of your information regarding white womens' hair. I am a white woman and don't find your statement very accurate. So....where are you getting this from...?

Yes, I think so. Movie stars, sex symbols, singers, tv hosts, etc. are entertainers, they play out fantasies. Therefore, they're going to put on a role*. So I don't think this should be the question. Maybe the question should be, "If men stop doting over the women with straight, weaved, or relaxed hair would American men STILL accept them as movie stars, sex symbols, singers, tv hosts, etc..." - A lot of entertainers "dress up", but off camera they could be natural? I mean...I don't know. I don't think it is important as long as they stay true to their self, meaning as long as they know who they are.

Even men wear wigs and weaves : /

Dreamy thx for bringing that up. I do see a lot of women with curly/kinky hair in commercials. I think one is the Sunny Delight commericial. Cool!

I would accept them as movie stars, etc... I've seen plenty of black women on television leaving their hair natural. In my opinion, it looks much better natural. I don't think it's as much a racial thing, as it is just "in" to have straight hair in this time. Look at the 60's. Straight hair was not in back then. As for me, I have curly hair which often resembles an afro. :) I go against the norm.

Some would but most won't. Natural hair is not what's considered beautiful in todays society. There are a select few but they are allways protrayed and heaver set more power to the people girls. There aren't andy natural hair girls that are smart and powerful.
On a side note white women can't be natural ethier in entertainment . They wear wigs, weaves, extentions to make their hair fuller and have body. Most of them who have curly hair have to straighten it or they fall into a streo type role also

Alicia Keys wore her hair natural for a while when she first came out. Beyonce used to rock a 'fro for a while after doing the Austin Powers movie. I don't think wearing natural hair makes someone less sexy. I have natural hair, but I can't afford to spend an hour every day to have my afro look perfect when I walk out the door... so I wear braids. When I DO have my natural hair out, I get way more (positive) attention than I do normally. People love it because it's different. I think anyone should be able to wear whatever hairstyle floats their boat

I'm white and my hair is NOT naturally straight. I have to use a flat iron everyday to straighten it. That myth is disspelled. Those people choose to style their hair the way they like. You shouldn't bunch black women in one category they're all unique & different as are white women. Good luck. 2D

you are looking to deep into that. Women that are black and not movie stars also put weaves in their hair etc. Just as white women add extensions.
