No not at all. That's an old wives tale. It's actually very healthy in that it 1) relieves stress, 2) releases endorphins, promoting better sleep, and 3) familiarizes boys with their genitals so that they can lead healthier relationships down the road. The only way that it would affect a man's weight is if it required a tremendous amount of energy (which it doesn't), at which point he would simply become leaner. If anything, the increased production in testosterone should fascilitate gaining muscle mass, if only on a very small level.

Daily masturbation will not have any effect on weight gain or will it affect normal growth unless you don't eat properly, sleep properly ot drink plenty of fluids. It is like any other exercise you must replenish your body after it.

The practice of secret habits, such as masturbation, surely destroys the vital forces of the system. All unnecessary vital action will be followed by corresponding depression. Among the young the vital capital, the brain, is so severely taxed at an early age that there is a deficiency and great exhaustion, which leaves the system exposed to disease of various kinds.
Foundation Laid for Various Diseases Later in Life. If the practice is continued from the ages of fifteen and upward, nature will protest against the abuse she has suffered, and continues to suffer, and will make them pay the penalty for the transgression of her laws, especially from the ages of thirty to forty-five, by numerous pains in the system and various diseases, such as affection of the liver and lungs, neuralgia, rheumatism, affection of the spine, diseased kidneys, and cancerous humours. Some of nature"s fine machinery gives way, leaving a heavier task for the remaining to perform, which disorders nature"s fine arrangement; and there is often a sudden breaking down of the constitution, and death is the result.

the day me and hubby stopped smoking we went round tesco grabbing every kind of sweets, biscuits, crisps , nuts etc. we filled a trolley. it was good fun but we actually threw most of it away a few weeks later. we ate some for the first few days then forgot about them. we put on a bit of weight but it didnt matter as we both knew we could lose it later and we did. so no need to worry about weight. you can always lose it.

If that were true all boys would stop growing at about the age of 13 and the world would be populated with tiny little men.

It will burn calories and it's great for your heart. But if you over eat you will still gain weight. And masturbation will have no effect on growth.
