I am 17 weeks pregnant and I am not feeling well today
I don't feel necesarily sick
But I don't feel like doing anything, including eating, walking, everything is "ugh"
I feel "off" or "blah" I don't know how to describe it
Is this normal and what can/shoud I do about it?
Thank you

I see, I think I'll go to a book store after work and get me a nice book about babies

Yes, it's normal. Even though everyone tells you the 2nd trimester is easier, not every day is going to be a good day because your hormones are still going strong and growing a baby is hard work. Sometimes you might feel a mild touch of morning sickness, or some days you may just be really tired "for no reason." Quite often, you just feel blah, like you described.
Maybe this is your body's signal to take a rest. Try lying down and listening to some relaxing music or watching your favorite comedy or romance. Call a friend or family member to chat. Tell them about your "blahs" and maybe they can cheer you up.
And of course, you can "talk" to us anytime here!

OoO you have got to love those hormones! Don't worry about it too much, it's just your body "messing" with you. I would worry if you start to feel that way for more than a week though. You might have a small case of depression or something similar. Pregnancy is rough, but let me tell you, the second trimester is most definitely the best. If you eat right and get some exericse you'll feel better. Sometimes it's hard to motivate yourself but think about it this way... it's not just about you, it's about your baby too! Good luck hun!

Sure it can be normal...everyone says that the second trimester is the easy one, but I found myself getting more and more tired all the way to the very end. Try following your cravings (substitute fruit for candy, tho) and drink more water...it seems to make you feel so much better. You will be downing a TON of it when you are in your third trimester!

I'm at 19 weeks....I feel exactly the same! This is my second pregnancy so I can tell you, its normal! Hang in there, this too shall pass. Curl up with a book or veg out infront of the tv...make sure you keep the fluids up and get some nutrients in you even if you don't "feel" like it!

It's normal to feel "off" for your entire pregnancy. Your body is putting all of its effort into creating a new life. Hormones rage like crazy, you have a lot of weight putting pressure in your abdomen, joints and connective tissue is loose, your digestive system runs slower, and by the time you give birth you will have 50% more blood than you did prepregnancy.

It's all based around your hormones, sadly.
The best thing for ME when I felt like that was to go out and take a walk if the weather was nice. If it wasn't, I would scrapbook.
Just find something that makes you happy. If that's soaking in the tub for 3 hours, then it's soaking in the tub for 3 hours.

I feel the same way and everyone has told me this is the one where you are supposed to feel good. Hasn't happened for me yet. I'm 21 weeks and still tired all of the time and never want to do anything.

Try drinking some water and walking. I know you don't feel like walking , but it will help.
