I was driving it fine then when I slowed down to turn it all of a sudden died and now when I try to start it, it will start for a couple of seconds then die again.

Sorry my car has half a tank of gas it is a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero and the oil was changed about a week ago. It just wont start I turn the key and it starts for a couple of seconds then dies.

Look like you have some kind of dirt in your carburetor or possible on an on-line filter.
But also check first if your tank is not empty.
Tip: Never let your fuel tank to almost empty before filling up,
it sucks all the dirt at the bottom of the tank that causes this problems.

Check the basics first: Is there gas in the tank? If so, then change the fuel filter. It could have some floaties that are plugging up the fuel line.

well you see some times cars can stall at random times and sometimes when it stalls it can take a pretty long tome to be able to start it. or it also might be that your spark plug died, you ran out of gas or you need an oil Chang if not then just ask a mechanize what went wrong.

sounds like it's not getting enough gas. Check all the gas things like are you out, filter, pump. Good luck!

Fuel pump went bad?
No oil pressure? (GM safety feature)
Overheated?
Out of gas?
Plugged fuel filter?
It's tough to say without knowing what you drive.

Sounds like a fuel problem - either a bad fuel pump, blocked fuel filter, or dirty injectors.

does it have gas. a little more info would help make year modle .fuel pump might be bad might have water in tank might
