it's definately a 10 bolt rearend but it could be a 7.5 or an 8.5 10 bolt.

Maybe he does. Bend over and look at the rear end cover. Does it have 8 or 10 bolts? Are you looking for the gasket for the rear end?

I have to agree with the Chevy Man Rob you have a 7.5 10 bolt rear end. This is a commonly used rear end on light duty trucks.

I think he does as well as a few others. If you are going to replace it then whoever is doing the job for you can tell you. They must be able to bend over. That 8-10 bolt will not tell you the gear ratio though. Fot that you will need the option codes. Have fun

Honestly it could be either. You'll have to get down and look under the back end and count the bolts.
