Besides, you need to consider why the car was stolen and left. Was it used in a robbery, murder, kidnapping... something worse? Maybe some kids just took it and were joyriding and dumped it. But a stolen car is not something you want to be caught with.

No, the car is stolen property and if you take possession of it you will be in possession of stolen property and face a criminal charge. Call the Police and alert them to what you have found. Get as much info as you can, license number, etc. Perhaps the owner will give you a reward.

That will make you as guilty as the original thief call your local police department, to keep your own nose clean. Car theft is not a ticket its time in prison.
