I have been known to be that way on occasion, yes. But I think I am reconciled to the fact that I may need some help with a few things in the coming months.

A good many guys are - it's just part of our make-up. Mother Nature was in a funny mood when she built us boys! As I've grown older, I've gotten a lot wiser, and I will ask for help when I really need it. Heck, I'll even ask for directions if I get lost - I'm too darn cheap to buy a GPS reciever...

well, it depends on what i need help with. i do have an issues asking for help regarding personal issues. not because i'm too proud. it's more about my fear of disappointing someone. i have no problems asking for directions or whatnot.

That's not pride. It's fear.

If you ask for help, you're admitting that you're vulnerable. And loose lips sink ships, you know.

Why do you think guys refuse to ask for directions? Why do you think guys, when they are asked for directions, send you off in the wrong direction rather than admit they don't know?
