My coolant light shows up 30-40 mls of driving. The resovoir tank is completely empty. I think the coolant is being lost through the overflow pipe which leads to the underneath fender at the front of the vehicle where it is wet. I put a cardboard under the engine but no trace of leak and had a good look at the hoses which seems fine. I also get cold and warm air blowing. The exhaust is dry and the oil on dipstip and coolant resovoir all ok. I have run the engine with the resovoir cap off and heater set to blow hot to get rid of trapped air. I did find white foam with small bubbles in the resovoir tank but that has gone recently . After a couple of minutes with the engine running the coolant overspills from resovoir tank. Any idea why i am losing coolant and the hot and cold air from the vents? Any thing i need to pay particular attention to inthe engine comaprtment? Thanks!

Could be a bad thermostat--could be a bad head gasket--but something is wrong and NOT for you to fix--better get to the shop before you ruin the entire motor. There are too many things to trouble shoot---but motors have stuff go bad--that is just a fact if life--stuff happens and you need to have it taken care of. Good luck

Sounds like a blown head gasket, warped or cracked head, and the combustion gasses are over pressurizing the cooling system.
