Anyone know why i cant get onto the Demonoid site?

it is down, site is closed at the moment they are trying to find a way to get back online, an anti privacy company is trying to shut them down

The rumor that Demonoid is shut down is at best pure speculation by Torrentfreak. While there is a small possibility, it is not that probable at this time. Torrentfreak has no proof, only speculation. The Demonoid server IP is up and does ping, but the web interface is down. Sounds more like an internal problem than a shutdown. We will simply have to wait it out and not get freaked by speculative rumors.

Demonoid is a member-based torrent hosting and search site. You must have an invitation from a current member to join up, and people are reluctant to give out invites to someone they do not know because the site also tracks who shares their files when the downloads are complete, it rates you according to your share ratio, and bans you if you do not share enough. It also reflects on the account of the person who invited you, making people even more reluctant to invite someone.

demonoid is down for now by the looks of it
we are in the same boat
its been closed down because of the pressure from the canadian recording industry

For some resaon the site is down. Has been for approx the last 24 hrs

I am a member and havent been able to get on since yest,it happens with that site now and again,try again tomorrow.It just comes up saying cannot display page

Its closed down for the moment,as far as i know they are in a spot of bother with the enemy (IF YOU KNOW WHO I MEAN)have been trying to get in myself since last night.Will have to wait and see what develops.Pity because its a good site.

The server goes down every so often. It will come back up within 30 min to an hour. (usually).
