Yes yes yes. It could be implantation cramps, some women have pains when the fetus implants itself into the lining of the uterus. It could also be round ligament pain, where the muscles of your uterus and stomach are stretching to make room for the baby.
If these are accompanied by any bleeding (especially red blood) go to the emergency room immediately as this could be a sign of miscarriage.
Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

I'm about 7 weeks now and here and there I'll get those AF like cramps. I also get like a pain in my sides in my lower abdomen after I sit down for a while.
My doc said it's just your muscles growing and preparing for the new baby.
If you ever have cramps that don't go away or are accompanied by bleeding you should go to the ER. It doesnt necessarily mean you are miscarrying but you want to make sure you're doing all you can!
Believe me, I am so freaked out and hope these first 3 months go by quickly!
Good luck and take it easy!

Yep I had cramps up until 10 weeks. They were bad sometimes and felt like period cramps. That was part of the reason I waited to take a pregnancy test, I was sure my period would come any day. Now I have them every now and then but everything with baby has been fine. Congrats and Good luck!

Before I found out I was pregnant, I had period-like cramping. I thought, "there's no way I can be pregnant, I'm having cramps, so I'll get my period any time now!" but that definitely wasn't the case!!
From what I've read and learned, we get mild cramping in the beginning due to the embryo becoming attached to the uterine lining.
Congrats!!!

Yes, many women will have these off and on during early pregnancy. I always do. You get them for several reasons. First of all, you sometimes get cramps when the embryo implants in your uterus. Secondly, as your uterus expands and grows, it causes mild cramping.
You should only be concerned if the cramping is very painful or constant, or is accompanied by spotting or bleeding.
Congratulations!!

I have had 3 babies and with each one I had cramps during my first month pregnant. There is nothing to worry about. That is just something that happens while your pregnant. My cramps only lasted for a few days with each one.

Yes I found out on Sept 18 that I was pregnant and I have been having those period like craps too. I have been told that it is all normal. Although it really does not feel like it should be. Good luck to you and God bless.
