I go out with friends who are fun to be with; those who are not earth-bound and are positive towards life. If they're not available at the moment, I find time to walk around amusement parks and malls where the sight of cheerful children sure perks my day. Once relieved I head for a sanctuary to refresh my faith again.
Have a very pleasant day, Moon!

Talking to friends or listening to music works the best, but sometimes cleaning up the house works too. Have a wonderful day 2!

Hi Moon,
Aside from my three-year old cute daughter it is music that cheers me up. Music is the language of the soul. It lifts your spirit and gives happiness.
Nice question. Have a great day!

Many have said music, and I have to agree. I have my music cataloged by mood, not artist. Sometimes I will give in to melancholy, and play music that suits the mood. Putting on music that I associate with happier times would just bring me down further. I guess the way I get it out of my system is to embrace the sadness.

When I need a mood adjustment I take a long walk through my woods and just observe what's going on there. the critters tend to pick up on my moods and will behave accordingly. If I'm sad they'll act foolishly to make me laugh, if I'm feeling spiritual, they'll do something that enlightens me and brings me closer to goddess and God. If I'm feeling too full of myself, they'll make sure that I end up stepping in a pile of droppings, just to humble me a bit. Nature has a way of adjusting my mood to reach equilibrium and I find her to be the BEST counsellor around.

Sometimes I get down in the dumps,too- Then I try to think of happy things, and my mom use to say, "There's always someone worse off than you?" I thought about that, and she was so right, but I still have sad days-I think part of it is , I lost to many dear relatives, just my Sister and I left, {and our children}, but I miss family members- I try to do nice things for people, and I try to at least once a day say something nice to someone- It helps alot to know I've made a person happy or saw a smile on their face- I hope I've helped who ever you are , and last but not least , I try not to push religion, but my Bible helps me so,so,so much-

I like to listen to music that has a good beat to it that can possibly cheer me up. I also like to look for people who I know can cheer me up such as family or friends.

I play with my 6-month old son, and sing to him, and just hold him. How can I not be cheery when I look into his beautiful, smiling, innocent face?
And may you also have a wonderful day!

Smiling to people you work with is good for the soul i think, smiling in general is good for the soul.
As long as its not a sort of fixed maniacal grin that strikes fear into anyone who is of a nervous disposition.
Although, come to think of it, that might cheer me up....
