if i'm sitting here on the computer which is my exes can she watch me from another one i.e.while i'm typing right now.to see what i'm doing.i never gave her my password or anything and its not an easy one to figure out if so how is that possible?

its possible if she set somthing up on it and hid it ... i would download a fresh antispyware app thats not already on the machine and run it just for peace of mind ..

Well... asuming you do not have a tempest rated computer...
If she has installed some sort of remote assistance / monitoring software on your computer then she could be watching the same screen as you are. You could check the add/remove applet in the Control Panel and see if there are any programs that you did not install and/or that might have that type of functionality (like pcanywhere, vnc).
You could check running processes and startup items for same
Start > Run > type msconfig > Startup tab
ctr+alt+del (once) >> task manager > processes
If she's in the next room as her what card I'm holding up.. she might have hit her head and got some psychic power. hey, it's a valid troubleshooting thought!
Check for hidden cameras in your home.. maybe she's stalkng you... look for a nanny cam (camera disguised as a fuzzy bear, etc...)
Right-click My Computer > Properties >Remote tab >> uncheck remote assistance and remote access
Right-click network connection icon you use > properties > uncheck file sharing.
You could deck your room out in temptest rated steal.. it's possible to view the images ona computer screen from another room via the energy ... is she scientific type?
check that stuff, reboot, see if she can still "see" into your comp.

She could have a keyboard logger, it would log every keystroke you make. There are also logger utilities for instant messaging, AOL AIM has the built in ability to log all AIM activity. If you are on a network, the log can be saved to another computer w/o the user even knowing it. A spyware utility won't discover it either.

Actually, this is some sort of detective question. She will never know what youre doing unless she attached some secret device somewhere around your vicinity.Whew, was your ex sort of a detective,psychic, or forensic expert? Or you might just probably overly reacting to some coincidences recently. Dont be wary, you might just probably thinking too much of your ex. Im sure shes doing her own business.

LOl wel she could have put any number of things on it to shadow your sessions as well as a keylogger that will log all your key strokes. If you think its a possibility. Start look things up like STD's or got to webmd and look up STD' s. Email your friends and say...I think I nmay have infected my EX... Then if she calls to inquire...Boom you she is snooping....LOL
J/K I would just reformat reinstall if you are worried about. Most people dont have the knowledge to do somethign like you are explaining.

Yes, if you let her to have your computer's ip address and the serial number to put it in a website called program remote, then she can see everything your doing.

there are programs that allow someone on a computer to access a computer in another room or even another city. people can access their work computers while at home. we have the program for our library cooeprative.

well she would need to be a VERY advanced hacker so unless she is, you don't have anything to worry about although to be safe I would try to not use a wireless network because she or anyone who is in the area can connect to it!
