On my fantasy football team I have QB Brees, RB Tomlinson, and WR Evans, thanks to the fact that my league has IDP I am still 2 wins and 1 lose at this point, but if Brees doesnt turn it around I will be in trouble. My back ups are Grossman, Griese, and Harrington. Do you think Brees will turn it around or am I in for a long season and should I try to trade him while I can.

additional info-- i am in a keeper league with 12 teams and we start 1qb,2rb,2wr,1te,1k,2dl,2lb,2db. the problem is our team rosters are 25 players so there are no backup qbs available to pick up. I focused my draft on RBs where I am very strong, thats why my back up qbs are crap, I thought with brees I woulnd have to worry about a back up.
At rb I have tomlinson, M.Lynch, T. Jones, B. Jackson, E.James, and S. Young, maybe do a package deal with a rb and brees for a qb?

Tomlison started slowly last year as well as Evans. I think they will be fine in the second half of the season. Also, Losman got benched in Buffalo and that could help Evans (it can't hurt).

I think you need to get a better back-up QB. Drop Grossman. I think you need to consider Derek Anderson or Kurt Warner if available. Brees looks way off for some reason. A lot of his passes are behind the receivers. I wouldn't give up on him but you need to have a backup plan.

I wouldn't call your team the biggest flop. At least you didn't take Steven Jackson who is out 2-3 weeks.

I would have to say Brees will start to get better after the bye week .. his defense is not stopping anyone so they will have to pass the ball alot more which means more yardage ... and hopefully more TD's ... the team will prob not win more than 8 games and will finish at the bottom this year ... expect more wins toward the mid - end of the season ...

I would try to upgrade your back ups ... Griese will be great for next week and hopefully will be strong the rest of the season, Harrington situation scares me ... could loose his job soon ...

good Luck

You won't get much if you trade him now. Deuce is out for the year so they'll probably throw more. He does play the Falcons and Panthers twice. They aren't great secondaries. Stick with him for now. You need to drop Grossman and Harrington. Find Derek Anderson or Jeff Garcia on your FA list. Don't worry about LT, he'll kick *** soon. Evans is a bust and it doesn't seem to get better.

I also have Brees...Don't think you will be able to unload him and the only hope we have is if they turn it around after the bye week. I also picked up Griese off waivers...Maybe he will get us through until Brees remembers how to be a QB. Wait it out w/ Brees on the pine.

well if I were on your league I'd tell you to trade away! But only because I would want to get him! I think that you still have a couple of weeks until you need to push the panic button! You should be fine considering who you have as your back up!
