Maybe it is for the best. But, if you have a great past tell him about it you don't need him to ask before you explain how your life was growing up. I have found that in most people these days they don't like talking about there past because they have done things that they are not proud of and they don't like someone making it a constant reminder for them. However, if your one of the few that has had a wonderful life and family let him know. But, maybe he is just so focused on you that he don't care about anything else. Also, he is older and may be more focused in life with more life experience so he knows what matters and what don't cause face it he is dating you not your family or your past. Good Luck!

My bf of about 6 months doesn't ask a lot of questions, either. And he only talks about his past if I ask. He's just a fairly private person and respects the privacy of others. Also, his dad won't ask anyone anything, ever. It's a little less disconcerting to see he came by it honestly.

I don't know...depends on the circumstances.
Have you been so open and talkative about your past that he doesn't feel he needs to ask you anything?
Have you shared some, but he seem annoyed or jealous about your past, therefore won't ask so it doesn't upset him? My X husband was that way...that should of been a clue for me to run.

Because he is a smart man not for asking and what happen in the past is a close book and do not go behind his back snooping.

We guys really don't want to know. The last thing we want is baggage from your past haunting the future.
The needs-to-know are simple.
1. Make sure you don't have STDs.
2. Make sure you don't snap at everything that we say.
3. Make sure that you don't stare at us when we sleep.
If those 3 things are fine, then we are good.

Maybe he is waiting for you to open up.....not sure if you had a painful past or just what...and not wanting to bring up bad memories..why don't you just start talking about your past to him....perhaps then he will start asking more questions.

I do find it a little awkward,bc if he is interested in you then he should care about all of that, or maybe he is waiting for you to speak and tell him about yourself, some guys just don't ask like we do.

Maybe he is trying to be non judgemental or he doesn't want to pry. Play a telling game with him. He writes ten things you don't know about him and you write ten things he doesn't know about you and then switch and elaborate. Tell him that you just don't want any secrets between you.
