I have seen it as a last name. Never a first. Kyzer is ok, not my personal favorite, but it's not my child either.
To me, it doesn't sound like a name that will grow with the child. Imagine your son when he is 40 years old. Do you feel as if Kyzer will fit him then, as well as when he is an infant.
If you like the name, name him that. If you don't, don't. I personally am more partial to Kingston.
Maybe you two can settle on something.
You seem to like the "K" names...what about Kade, Kaleb, Karson... Just some suggestions.
Good Luck and hope you two settle on something you both equally love!

Assuming he means Kaiser, I'm certain anyone who's seen The Usual Suspects (pretty much a modern classic) will be familiar with it. "Keyser Söze" -- the form used in the film -- has been repeating in my head since reading your question title. LOL http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114814/

It's a fine name -- traditional, even, despite its uncommonness -- but I'd strongly encourage against the "Kyzer" spelling. It just really makes it seem like the parents were unfamiliar with the actual name and thought they'd created their own "new" variation of Kyle or something, know what I mean? The name itself is underused enough that the most common, familiar spelling will still seem an "unusual" choice, if that's what you're going for. ;)

I can't say I care much for Kingston, unless you honeymooned there or something. Otherwise, it just seems a Hollywood rip-off at the moment, since Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale just used it for their son (receiving quite a bit of tabloid attention). So even those who aren't "star-struck" (I'm not LOL) will still find this a familiar celeb baby name, if that makes sense. Just not my style.

You should note that Kyzer was the first name of the villian in "The Usual Suspects", It'd be like naming your kid Darth or Hannibal! Go with Kingston!

Kyzer sounds like a pharmaceutical company. I wouldn't do that to your first child.

Kyzer reminds me of my health insurance kaiser permanente.
I'd go with Kingston, Good luck :)

I've heard of that name as a last name, but not a first. I think it's kinda cool... different, a bit edgy.

I like Kingston okay too.... but just be careful with going too extreme with names... remember - names give a first impression to people, even before they meet you. You want to give a strong name, memorable, yet, not too "crazy" ... it'll be with your son forever.

Good luck.

It's a misspelling of Kaiser, the German word for king. Also, a type of roll. I think it's awful, but Kingston isn't much better. One looks ignorant, and the other looks pretentious.
