I feel almost anti - american to admit I don't care for american football. I will watch some college ball but the pro game to me just is not the same. In the old days(I'm an old fart) players were part of the city they lived in and played. It made the fans more aware of how personal the player was . They did community service and were out in the local public. Today its all MONEY and that has taken a lot out of the game for me.

there's no comparison to English football, all those breaks and time outs, our players go 90 minutes with a small break at 45 min, the atmosphere at a match has to be experienced. 90 minutes of pure excitement for the fans, only hand that touches the ball , earns a foul or a penalty. it is not allowed, would do me head in to watch American football. too slow

What is there to like about poor mans RUGBY, "played" by a load of over stuffed shirts Its just as rivetting as Rounders - sorry Base ball, Taking an ENGLISH game and ruining it with 'Specialist' players who are only on the field for a couple of minutes instead of all the game. For REAL sport watch English Rugby - either Union or League - blood and guts

It's awful. I get mad about them calling it football because as you pointed out they rarely kick it and it is hardly ever on the ground. When it is on in the States as soon as there is a momentary blip in the game they go off for adverts it's infuriating. When i am over there it is the bane if my life because my husband likes it and unfortunately we only have one TV so I have to go and do something else .

Takes too long to play the game as they stop the clock each time the ball goes out of play. Who wants to watch a 3 hour game

I like it at the college level. Not a big fan of the NFL though.

Italy seems to like it also, I recently heard they have a couple of active leagues there.

love watching the game but the 2 hours of commercials for a 1 hour game kills it.

I like it. When I didn't understand what was going on, I thought it was stupid, but after I started to see how they were orchestrating their plays I got more in to it.
