on white or brown bread with a good coatin of butter (not the olive oil spread instead) then smear it on! and eat yum also a spoon of marmite never goes a miss!

I love it!
I have been trying to do a bit of research on this. Some people have a gene for 'tasting', ie they can taste some things that others cannot. I would like to know if there is some genetic thing about Marmite because to some people it tastes wonderful and to others it doesn't.
I have the tasting gene and I love Marmite.
Does anyone else know if they are tasters/non-tasters and is there a link between the two?

The first time I tried it I made the mistake of spreading a generous lump on some toast. I didn't realise that a little goes a long way. Love it now.

I LOVE Marmite!!
I like to eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon! Yum!

I absolutely love it on some hot buttered toast. You are right to ask the way you did though because you either love it or you hate it.

love it, would smear it over my husband instead of chocolate (if i didn't prefer it on toast with a nice cup of tea to dunk it in) yummy scrummy marmite

I love it with my "soldiers" when eating my boiled egg. My cats used to like it too! They would lick it off my finger. (only small amounts mind). Also I like a little spread on my cheese on toast.

Take it or leave it, a couple of pieces of toast are O.K., it is good though when used to flavour stews or casseroles
