Alright i had a baby 3 months ago, and after having him i had my tubes tied, i had my first period that only lasted approx 4 days, around Aug. 15th. It was extreamly heavy. ive never had a period like that before and hope to never again. Well i havent had a period since. Could i be pregnant even though i had my tubes tied? or are periods like this after having a baby or tubes tied? I had a c-section by the way!

It is possible to have what is called a tubal pregnancy but this usually ends up in a miscarrige or has to be remove because it's really dangerous for you and the baby.
But i think that you will find out that after having a C-section and due to you frantic hormones with the baby keeping you up at night, you being worn out that when things settle down a bit you will start having regular periods again. Some women don't have periods for up to six months after they give birth.
Just watch for any spotting, or discharges that contain dark red blood, this is usually a sign of a problem.
If you are overly concerned about his consult you OBGYN, or Family doctor.
Otherwise just try to get some rest, Take some vitamins and give it some time.
Oh, By the way-- Congratulations on the Baby!

Personally i experienced an increase in my periods after i had a c-section. Even with having your tubes tied you can still get pregnant, it is not 100% effective. If you find out that you are not pregnant maybe you should look into another form of birth control just for extra protection.

Chances of pregnancy after a tubal ligation are less than 1%. Your cycles will take time to regulate themselves after giving birth. They can be screwy for months. Your periods will be normal as dictated by your body's hormones (which can change every so often). There isn't a guarantee that they will be the same as they were prepregnancy, tubes tied or not.

depending on the type of tubal you had done and also it is common for women to get pregnant after there tubes have been tied. so you can ask for a copy of your surgical report to see what type of procedure was done then you would have a better chance of knowing the answer and conversation with your doctor. and the doctor will know what type of tests to do and what they may be up against.
coming from a mother whose had 5 kids and 5 sections and a tubal at the same time of delivery.

I don't know what your periods should be like, but it is possible to get pregnant after having your tubes tied (I know someone that it happened to). Best thing would be to call your doctor to find out.

Most people xperience heavy periods whild their tubes are tires, my fried is going through the same thing. The doctors but her on birth control pills to help with her menustral flow than to find out she has a pulp in the walls of her uteries and she also has some fibroid tumors.

Either way it isn't normal and you need to see a OB/GYN

I would say not likely. more than likely it's just your body getting itself regulated again after having a baby. I was the opposite with all of my kids I bled for 6 weeks straight. Like a weaker than normal period. I would call your doctor just to find out for sure but I would tend to say no.

i had the same problem.....it is just from your tubes being tided. talk to your doctor, they can put you on a low dose birth control. if that does not work, the they will try hormone treat ment, then a d&c to "reset". The next step is to take everything out. The pill usually works.

After giving birth, it can sometime stake up to 6 months before your periods get regular again. I am sure it's not big deal.
