I am conservative. I think he's funny and makes some good points. I don't like how he and his liberal guests gang up on the lonely conservative guest even if he is making a valid point. I have heard some really good arguments from conservatives on his show that are barely audible because of the crazy lefty that wants to shoot him down because he is a conservative...

I used to think he was very smart and very funny, and I have to admit that some of his "new rules" are still absolutely hysterical, but recently his political opinions just seem so hackneyed....the usual left-wing rhetoric with no originality of thought. And if you're a Christian or from the south, he automatically labels you as a moron. It's bad enough when right-wingers are closed minded, but it REALLY annoys me when liberals are, since by definition they're supposed to be more accepting of different points of view. So Bill Maher actually kinda bugs me these days, because I think he has let his hatred of all things conservative shut down his once formidable brain.

I remember when Bill was an actual fair minded person. He was a self described libertarian, and engaged in rhetoric against the left and the right in equal measure.
Then that changed after he was invited to the Presidential Press dinner, and spent about 1hr with Bill Clinton. Like a light switch, he turned entirely to a shill for the left.
I feel sorry for a man who has come a long way from being the voice on the dial-a-joke phone number to where he is now.
He has taken his great insight and turned it from being a voice in the wilderness into just another common shill for leftist anti-americanism.

I love Bill Maher. Nothing is sacred or off limits. He is right most of the time but I don't care for his remarks on religion. I think his funniest New Rule was to impeach Bush because he lied about the fish.

He was pretty good when he wasn't so caught up in demagoguery. It's hard to take him serious when me can't move past the hatred of Bush, Cheney and Christians. He's also be better if he put forth some realistic solutions to consider, rather than just pointing out the problems.

I hardly ever agree with Bill Maher when it comes to religion and stuff like that but I do like him. The only reason I have Hbo is when his show comes back on the air.

No, I don't love Bill Maher and think he's overly liberal, over the top liberal. In fact, I cancelled hbo because I couldn't stand his constant rant, always the same. But there are conservatives on tv that do the same thing. They all think they're right or left as it may be.

We, as a society, are turning out to be too wrapped up with being politically maximum dazzling. there's a distinction between sarcasm/humor and extreme bigotry. you may desire to soak up to context the flaws that are being unhappy. working example Imus - i'm gay, yet i discover him hilarious and hear him each morning. i understand he's going to make exciting of gay human beings, yet that's form of the area of his prepare, to make exciting of issues. specific he might very properly be homophobic, yet i'm not turning to him to effect my ideals, in easy terms for entertainment. (the comparable is going for bill Maher.) we'd desire to quit residing in soundbites and taking issues out of context. a suitable occasion is Joe Biden's comments the former day. specific it replaced right into a dumb part of say, even though it replaced into never racist. once you prepare this context attempt to Isaiah Washington, he fails. it is why the uproar against him is sweet.

I think he's hilarious, I can see how some people may find some of his views offensive though. I respect the fact that he speaks his mind, and doesn't make any excuses for it. And the fact that he supports Ron Paul is a plus :)

every once in a while I disagree with Bill ... most of the time I think he's right on the money, its just that people still don't really want to know the truth ... we're just so happy in our safe little bubble
