My girl friend insisted that her first intercourse was with me. However, she did not bleed. I though virgins suppose to bleed when hymen breaks. Is it possible for a virgin not to bleed the first time?

Absolutely. Many girls break their hymens years before they even think about sex. Hymens can break through strenuous exercise, horseback riding, injury, etc. Some girls are even born without them. There are also women who have hymens that can stretch enough to allow a penis inside without breaking.
A virgin is someone who has not had sex. If your girlfriend said she was a virgin, then you should believe her.

Yes, I have heard of some women not bleeding after first-time intercourse. It does happen.
It's possible for some girls to break their hymens through sports and horseback riding - they're still virgins. Then when they have sex they don't bleed because there is nothing there to bleed when torn.

The two virgins I have been with did not bleed. I think you'll find most do not, unless the guy is careless or too rough or knows nothing about lubrication. Besides, if your GF says you were her first just accept it, why question her, as if it makes any difference anyway. Virginity, what a terrible thing to hold over womens heads, religions and other social mores and values have used this as another way to belittle and castigate women for centuries.

It could happen. Some hymen(cherry) are a weak link inside the vagina and bleed very little or not at all. Some have a stronger tissue connection inside ad will bleed a lot and hurt a lot when the penis breaks it.
Plus some women pop their own cherry inserting tampons or masturbating with vibrators.

Absolutely, in fact most girls break their hymen by playing sports when they are young. Some women bleed every time after intercourse, there are various reasons for this.

Yes, this is actually quite common. Young girls who are physically active sometimes tear the hymen without any sexual activity at all. Sports such as La crosse, field hockey, gymnastics or horseback riding can all be possible causes.

Just because they are a virgin does not mean they will bleed.
You can tear your hymen doing vigorous activity.

Please do not doubt her. She will be damn sad if she knows you posted such question on the web. My gf first time was with me too. I had a hard time entering her as she hurts a lot. However, she did not bleed like what you expect.
