Most of the death and ethnic cleansing was carried out with the knowledge and connivance of the American government! from 1800 on wards with the real murder coming when the settlers went out west and moved into the traditional Indian territories, killing maiming along the way often just for fun and mostly for greed!.

The whole idea that Americans/British did something exceptionally wrong to the Indians is absurd. The Indians had land, European people invaded and the Indians tried to fight back, but they lost. It happened all over Europe, Asia and South America many, many times. That whole idea that somehow America owes something to the Indians is just stupid.

I don't remember reading about redcoats massacring Indians like the US Cavalry.
I remember reading about Indian migration to British Canada which is probably why Indians fought on the British side in the 1812 war.

The different "native american" tribes, nations, whatever, would occcationally war among themselves and they could be as brutal, inhumane, and savage as any "white man".
