I've created entire societies and cultures for the book I've been supposed to be writing for the past twenty years. My favourite Plankian month is Retghy .... There's a massive celebration because the twin suns align and the planet is bathed in a golden glow for 33 hours.

Put between December and January...
all weather fronts would cease...
no strong wind... or heavy rain... or snow... or sleet... or ice... or blistering sun...
we wouldn't be too hot... or too cold...
the atmosphere would be calm enough to soothe all our ruffled feathers...
it would be a month where politics and religious differences were banned...
where borders end and only friendship is allowed...
and anyone who broke the rules... would be catapulted into space...

It would be a month where all the able bodied people living off the taxpayers will be required to work as servants for those individuals who have been supporting them and their children through their tax dollars.
