Hi!

Making a film and was wondering if there's any way you can make it black and white but have an object in colour?

Basically, it's a women walking down the street but i want everything black and white, but have her coat coloured in, which is Red.

Any help would be great. Also if you know any software that can do it?

Thanks!!

Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects will do it. They work hand in hand pretty much seamlessly.

the effect you're looking to accomplish is called a 'color pass'. Most NLE's have that effect built in; you can get better third party plug-ins for it as well. what editing program are you using? (feel free to e-mail me)

it all depends on what kind of impact you want to have on the audience. the monochromatic background
vs. the color subject. that where your editing skills will make a hit or a flop
