Okay i kind of like halo for a girl and my husbands name is angel so i wanted to kind of find a name that has somewhat to do with him. I would use it for a middle name not a first but what do you think of it. Do you think it is too much? Does anyone know any cute names that have some sort of meaning for angel

As a middle name, Halo is beautiful. It's also not going to get teasing from other children since you're not using it for a first name. It isn't too much and is a nice way to put a bit more of your husband into her.

As for other angelic names, wikipedia likely has a list of angel names you could look at. Not all of them are the standard name-iel form (like Gabriel) and some of them sound rather normal.

I do not like Halo. It instantly reminds me of the game, and doesn't sound feminine at all. Your taste might change throughout your pregnancy, so I'll try to give a variety of names. I personally think a feminine middle name would sound best. Halo Josephine Halo Elizabeth Halo Natalie Halo Madeline Halo Alexandra Halo Isabelle Halo Evelyn Halo Sophia Halo Katherine Uncommon middle names: Halo Valentina Halo Genevieve Halo Anastasia Halo Tatiana Halo Isadora Halo Seraphina Halo Giselle Halo Cordelia Halo Penelope Halo Persephone Halo Francesca Halo Gwendolyn Halo Ophelia

Halo is cute as a nickname, but I don't like it as a name....

I would say just name her (middle name):
Heaven
Skye
Angel (this can be for a girl too)

These are names that mean "Angel" in other languages:

Anahira - Maori
Anela - Hawaiian
Angelita - Greek
Angeni - Native American (not sure of tribe)
Arela - Hebrew
Malaika - Arabic

Good Luck :)

My daughter name is Hayley, I call her Halo

I think it's a cute nickname, but not name

Evangeline I like, it means good news, has angel in it
Arela means angel
Malaika means angel
Angelique has Angel in it, of the angels

If you want my honest opinion, no. And you may think it's cute that Daddy and daughter have matching names now, but she's going to hate you for it when she's older. Why not Angel, or Angela? Or, if you're just too attached to Halo, make it her middle name.

I'm sorry, but random word names -- especially those not commonly used AS names -- do tend to come across as a bit, well ... not the best choices, to be polite. :(

I do, however, love the names Gwendolen (literally the words gwen and dolen, translating to "white ring," and taken to mean "halo"), Ayla, Aylin (both meaning "moonlight halo"), Serafina (from the seraphim order of angels), Evangeline (literally has "angel" spelled out in it, and means "good news") and Angeline or Angelina (obvious). ;)

Hope those help!

I think she'd go through life correcting everyone who called her "HAL O". I don't like it.
Gabriel or Gabriella is angelic
Angelica or Angelique (An je leek)
Heaven
Star
