Your lifestyle will consume what you make. The more you make the more you will buy/spend. That's why. Start a Christmas fund. They take the money and you can't until the holidays. It's your best shot.

Hang on tightly you are going to hear a profane word:

Discipline, nothing more; nothing less.

Hear is a concept:

Gross pay x 10% give away (teaches the prosper value of money and lessons that you can not learn in any other way)

Gropss pay x 10% invest for the future.

Gross pay X 80% live within a spending plan ( this brings far more freedom than you will ever know unless you try it)

The more a person makes,the more that they will spend.The cost of living has really gone up over the years too. A new car now a days will cost about the same as a down payment on a condo.

So true. I used to make so much money and now I make not so much. I have the same problems as I did then. Both financially and in other aspects of my life.

Unlimited wants, I could spend 100 billion a year and still wish for more but live nicely on under 100K.
