I heard parts of it. I think he tried to sound reasonable but at times the rhetoric and propaganda was unmistakable. Basically if you listen to him long enough you'll hear him trip up like saying there are no gays in Iran and women in Iran have more rights than anywhere else in the world.

Yes, and for the most part he seemed articulate and educated. Did he sidestep some questions? Sure, but what politician wouldn't? At times I thought that the translator was fumbling a bit which might have reflected negatively on the way he was saying something.
While I'm at it I thought that the speech made by Bollinger was completly uncalled for. You don't invite someone to your house and then insult them, even if you do need to CYA! I thought he made a fool of himself.

Reading the transcript he seemed to be far more reasonable than expected, except for the whole 'no gays in iran' comment.
