I think a better question would be just to remove the word divorced. No, you don't want to date a man like that. But if you care for him, talk to him about why he feels this way. Does it come from his past relationship? Try to assure him that there is no need for him to worry.

If was a good guy he wouldn't be divorced. J/K. His wife must have cheated on him. Just give him time to heal and let him get to know you and I'm sure you will gain his trust. If he gets worse, that's a red flag. People should get better as time goes by.

It sounds like this man is no good for any relationship. Perhaps these things you mention are the reasons for his divorce. Cut your losses and forget about him while you still can. He will eventually rule you like a master otherwise. With love, there is total freedom and room for growth for both of you. I don't see this in your relationship with this man. He is entirely too manipulative and insecure.

Nooooo, it's not wise! I was once in a relationship with a Marine who was very jealous and controlling and it only got worse. Be careful if you are or do date him, when you break up it may only get worse.

Is he divorced because his wife cheated on him? Maybe he just needs some help.. are you up to helping him through this?

It isn't wise to be serious with this guy (just yet). He's got some things he needs to come to terms with and needs to work those things out in counseling.

wise...No. Risky yes! what are you doing. I once read a quote that said," a girl with is a future should avoid a man with a past.''

No! Just more heartache down the road. If you break up with him, tell him why. Maybe he'll get some professional help to overcome it. And my dad always said, "Don't date anyone with more problems than your own."

no, he will think you cheat even if you don't and the fights will start small, and end up big. Find a guy that is trusting and your life will be much happier. I was there and it was hell.

Um..NO! He needs to deal with his own problems before he dates and puts his issues to blame on someone else.
