I think low waist jeans are better.
High waist is so Simon Cowell.

It depends on your shape (I notice no-one ever gets angry about high-waisted ... could it be because low waist suits young, thing and/or curvy??).
It is a fallacy that hour-glass girls should wear high waist, as they might cover your bum but they make it look BIG (starting higher, ending lower). In fact, they are best for giving 'straight up and down' skinny types the impression of having a curvy bum. Also, bigger girls bellys show straining on the waistband, plus 'other bits' can show too much as they ride up!
Having a curvy bum (but being slim-ish) I wear low-rise (but not builder-bum low) bootcut jeans. They reduce the size of the bottom (as it seems to start lower0 and the kick-out at the bottom balances the body. The 'ultimate' example of this look would be someone like Shakira in her low-risers- she dresses her curves well.
Maybe the reason why some people think low-rise = skinny is that when they fit they slim you down! the ultimate sin (in either case) is too tight and overhang: whether muffin-tops or a tummy-tyre. Admitting your actual size is a must.

That is kind of a tricky question. I would say low cause they look way cooler but then again there are some low waist jeans that are so low you can see the person's butt crack and that is not nice. So then I would have to say high waist for that reason. Or maybe I should just say low rise but not super low rise. lol

i prefer a nice mid-rise jean. High waist jeans are not good if you are thick around the middle at all or have big hips. low waist also not so good because they show too much.
Most of my jeans are about 2 inches below my belly button.

High waist jeans are coming back, they do define your waist and look better than low waist ones which I can not stand.

High Waist they make your belly look so much slimmer and you don't get that annoying muffin top and back side cleveage (when sitting or bending) that you get with low waisted jeans

neither-----Low waisted jeans give you butt cleavage, a muffin top, and cut off the butt. High waisted jeans give you a FUPA and accentuate a large stomach. I prefer a moderate rise jean that sits right below the belly button.
